Philip Lam Lee Gar’s Steve Hahm and ETK’s Sefa Fue pose at the weigh-in for their title fight rematch on Saturday night, February 20th at the YMCA, Auckland. Their fight is just one of the top ranked fights on the card for the Philip Lam Lee Gar event. Some of the top fighters from Philip Lam Lee Gar are up against fighters from around New Zealand and Eastern Europe.
The main event fights are Russian ex-patriot and World Muay Thai Champion, Jan Atomic Antolik vs. Estonia’s Henri Lebedenev and New Zealand Muay Thai Champion Slava Alexeichik vs. Slovakia’s Erik Kosztanko. Both visiting fighters have come from a training camp in Thailand, not a European Winter, so our heat and humidity won’t be as harsh for them as it might have if they’d been used to several months of snow and crisp Winter air.
Other featured fights are the abovementioned Steve Hahm vs. triple World Muay Thai Champion, Sefa Silent One Fue; Daniel Tai vs. Sio Smooth Vitale; Harley Love vs. Joel Naiden and Joe Hopkins vs. Ben Sisam for the New Zealand Title. There are also two other undercard amateur fights scheduled for the event.
