I’ve never in 18 yearsof going to fight events experienced a spectacle like the one leading up to David Tua’s fight against Friday Ahunanya, or the feeling that came over the stadium when a special version of Nessun Dorma drifted across the crowd, as a contrast to the energy of the Nigerian supporters at ringside. What an atmosphere that was, truly one of those ones that you had to be at live. On the same night as the Attitude Adjustment Boxing Promotion, City Kickboxing were having a Thai Boxing Novice/Amateur show right at their Upper Queen Street Gym. I went back and forth between two, and managed to get shots from four of the City Kickboxing fights before heading back to the ABA for the main event for their night. After that, I finished by shooting the last fight at the City Kickboxing Promotion. More highlight photographs after the jump.
