About

Fightshots.com was founded by Andy Conlan, an award winning filmmaker, an illustrator and photographer. Conlan trained in Muay Thai at the Balmoral Lee Gar and City Lee Gar gyms during the early 1990′s, where his interest in shooting the sport began.
The first event he photographed was back in 1998, for which the Main Event was a fight between Jombung and Shane Bishop, after which he shot various events until he started ring announcing.
From 1998 -2007, Conlan was a fixture in the Auckland fight scene, during which period he was the most prolific ring announcer in the history of Muay Thai in New Zealand, announcing almost every event in Auckland, from smaller amateur only tournaments right up to the K1 Oceania.
After taking a break from announcing following the production of his first feature film, he went back to his original interest: shooting the fights, bringing the same skill, high standards and attention to detail to fight images as he did with his announcing in the ring.
